It all started with a vineyard in dundee hills.
Steven Whiteside purchased the estate in 1996 and planted the vineyard two years later, in 1998. For many years, he divided his time between Oregon and Arizona, where he specialized in crafting pediatric orthotics and prosthetics before ultimately dedicating himself full-time to the vineyard.
Bella Vida Vineyard was a historic estate in Oregon's Dundee Hills AVA, known for its elegant Pinot Noir, farmed by Steve Whiteside on classic Jory soils. The site is recognized for its high-elevation, picturesque views, and is a source of high-quality fruit for several Oregon winemakers. Including Tardy, O'Donnell and J. Christopher.
In 2021 Whiteside sold the property to Blair, and his wife L.J. Nicholas.
